4U · 24-Bay Hybrid Recording Server — Windows + Linux
The Rhino Video Recording Appliance is a 4U, 24-bay recording and storage server that runs Windows and Linux side by side on one machine. The VMS of the customer's choice runs on Windows or Linux — or both — and records to an OpenZFS RAID-Z pool of up to 720 TB raw, with end-to-end checksums and self-healing. Snapshots, one-file backups and a web console make the system simple to update, recover and manage remotely. Available with a single or dual Intel® Xeon® Scalable processor platform.

Technical Specifications
| Hybrid platform: Windows + Linux | Windows Server for Windows-based VMS, and hardened Linux for Linux-based VMS with no Windows licence cost. Both run side by side on one machine. |
| Snapshot, backup & remote management | Snapshot & roll back to undo a failed VMS or OS update in minutes. One-file backup restores the whole VMS system on this or a replacement unit. A web console monitors drives, systems and health remotely. |
| Self-healing OpenZFS storage | RAID-Z1 / Z2 / Z3 managed by OpenZFS, independent of the controller. Every block is checksummed; bit rot is detected and repaired from parity. Copy-on-write means no write hole and a consistent pool after power loss. |
| Any VMS, preloaded | The VMS of the customer's choice is preloaded and configured at the factory, ready on first boot. |
| Headless operation | View live and recorded video from any browser, mobile app or client — no monitor needed on the server. |
| Built for 24/7 | Redundant power, hot-swap drives and continuous operation. |
| High-bitrate camera support | Supports high-bitrate streams from 350–400 cameras*. |
